Emmanuel (Baust) is a United Church of Christ congregation located half-way between Westminster and Taneytown, Maryland on Route 832.

As a community of faith we seek to know the love of God, to grow in the love of God, to show the love of God.

Our Vision and Mission Statements adopted May, 2010 say a great deal about our congregation:

Vision Statement
We envision a community where ALL people are welcomed, valued, nurtured while growing in faith and living in peace.

Mission Statement
We live as a church to practice Jesus' radical hospitality, proclaim his message of love and peace and justice, preserve God's creation, and to accept Jesus' mission of service as our own.

We take seriously or role in supporting children, youth, and families. We offer Sunday School Classes for children and youth as well as an adult Bible Study class on Sunday mornings.

If you are curious about the name "Baust", you can learn more about our history as a congregation founded by German immigrants in about 1765. We've been here for quite a while, and that's partly because we're interested in and committed to serving our community.
