Worship, September 18 - October 23, 2011

Theme: “REAL FAITH -- REAL LIVING – Marks of Discipleship”

Our worship series this fall will focus on how we equip ourselves and the church to be a more faithful community of disciples. The idea that “REAL FAITH” makes for “REAL LIVING” is the challenge of this series. We will focus on how, as the church, we equip individuals for a life of faithful living that results in our being disciples who make disciples of Jesus Christ. This series will explore six Marks of Discipleship: Pray daily, read the Bible daily, worship weekly, relate with others to encourage spiritual growth, give generously and joyfully, and serve at and beyond Emmanuel (Baust) UCC. These six marks are the fundamental tenets of a living and REAL faith. This series will focus both on teaching how and why each “Mark of Discipleship” is important to faith and how the “mark” equips us for a more spiritual life when we are putting our faith into action in the church and in the world. So, as your newly called interim pastor, I welcome you to this worship and sermon series. Please inform a friend or family member and invite them to join us.
